Bacon Cheddar Stuffed Burgers

There’s nothing better than a juicy hamburger right off of the grill. At least that’s what I thought until I stuffed our burgers with freshly grated cheddar cheese and crispy bacon! That might have been the only time I actually took my time eating because I didn’t want the party in my mouth to end. These bacon cheddar stuffed burgers are super easy to make also!

Bacon Cheddar Stuffed Burgers Ingredients

  • Ground Beef (or whatever meat you like)
  • Bacon
  • Cheddar
  • Seasonings of your choice
  • Buns
  • Condiments of your choice

Bacon Cheddar Stuffed Burgers Directions

I started by baking the bacon. (I could, and probably will, do a blog solely on the art of bacon.) If you don’t have time to make the bacon, you can opt for bacon pieces or bits that are already packaged.

Once it was out of the oven and cooling, I started working on the burgers. I had 2 pounds of ground sirloin and I generously seasoned the meat with salt, pepper, white pepper and garlic salt. Use whatever you like to season your burgers.

Next, I made 10 patties and then started grating up four ounces of sharp cheddar cheese, then crumbled the bacon into pieces.

Now the fun part! Cover the center of a hamburger with cheddar cheese, then add a thick layer of bacon. Top with enough cheddar to where you can’t see the bacon, and then place another patty on top. You should have enough room around the edges to seal the burger together using your fingers. Continue this process and you will end up with 5 burgers!

If you don’t own or have access to a grill, you can always pan fry hamburgers. Either way, it should only take 4-5 minutes on each side.

I’m just a meat and cheese kind of girl, but you can add whatever condiments and vegetables to eat your burger that you normally would. In fact, I mixed some cayenne pepper in a small dish of mayo, just to add a kick to one person’s meal!

Next time you go to a cookout or host your own, try this recipe so you can switch it up a little and impress your friends and family! Everything is better with bacon!
