Mission Barbeque Signature Sauce Honest Review

Memphis Belle

Memphis Belle sauce is a unique blend of sweet and tangy flavors. The original recipe is a closely guarded secret, but it is known to include a combination of vinegar, molasses, sugar, spices, and tomatoes. Memphis Belle has a nice sweet, smoky, and smooth taste with hints of tanginess from vinegar. Memphis Belle goes well with Mission BBQ’s brisket, pulled pork, and sausage.

Smoky Mountain

Mission BBQ’s Smoky Mountain sauce can be described as mildly sweet with a characteristic zing to it. Made with tomato puree, garlic, onion, chili pepper, sugar, and cider vinegar, this condiment has just enough heat and sweetness for those who do not like tongue-burning sensations.

Texas Twang

This sauce has an interesting sweet flavor from honey and a tangy finish of the Worcestershire and A1 steak sauce. I think it goes best with pulled chicken and turkey.

North Carolina Vinegar

Made with brown sugar, cider vinegar, and red pepper flakes, this sauce is definitely unique and something I have never tried before. I had North Carolina vinegar sauce with Mission BBQ’s sausage and it was amazing – perfectly sweet, salty, and acidic sauce with juicy, sweet, and spicy sausage, what can be better?

Kansas City Classic

Kansas City Classic sauce is absolutely legendary. Made with American chili powder, ketchup, black pepper, yellow mustard, vinegar, steak sauce, molasses, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, and hot sauce, it literally burns your tongue, so you just need a tiny bit. I think this condiment goes best with pulled pork and sausage, but it also tastes delicious with brisket, chicken, and turkey.

Tupelo Honey Heat

The sweet and smoky flavor of Tupelo Honey BBQ Sauce is perfect with brisket and pulled pork. The honey gives the sauce a touch of sweetness, while the smoked paprika and cumin give it a deep, smoky flavor. The vinegar helps to balance out the sweetness and adds a bit of acidity to the sauce. This buttery condiment is moderately spicy, with a hint of pleasant sweetness.

Bay-B-Que

When making this sauce, the restaurant founders got inspired by the BBQs on the Chesapeake. Bay-B-Que sauce is made of a blend of brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, and spices, and goes really well with the brisket. I loved its zest and tanginess which was immediately balanced by the sweetness of brown sugar.

Mission BBQ Craftsman Specials

Now that you know all the Mission BBQ’s signature sauces, let’s move on to the special edition sauces that are available only in small batches.

St. Louis Red

St. Louis Red sauce is made from a combination of tomatoes, vinegar, sugar, and spices, and it has a distinctly sweet and tangy flavor. Red Sauce is most commonly used as a dipping sauce for fried foods, but it can also be used as a marinade or BBQ sauce. I was told in the restaurant that this condiment is one of the most popular among Mission BBQ’s clients.

Piedmont Pride

This vinegar and tomato-based sauce is thinner than its “competitors”, so you can enjoy the flavor of your BBQ without masking its true flavor. It has a characteristic zing but also lots of sweet notes that will make the meat even more delicious and juicy!

Florida Gator Bite

This Mission BBQ sauce is sweet, citrusy, and tangy. It is quite an unusual accompaniment to BBQ meats, but I really think it is worth a shot. The sauce is zesty and has a nice bite to it, I’m sure it’s something you have never tried before.

Virginia Sweet

Virginia sweet sauce is a vinegar and tomato-based sauce with a hint of mustard, so it has a nice sweetness from tomatoes, spicy notes from mustard, and acidic hints from the cider vinegar. Try this sauce with pulled chicken or turkey next time you are in Mission BBQ.

Alabama White Sauce

A regional favorite, Alabama white sauce is mayonnaise and vinegar-based BBQ sauce that is popular in the southeastern United States. The sauce gets its creamy texture from the mayonnaise, while the vinegar provides a tangy counterpart to the richness of the mayonnaise. Other ingredients, such as lemon juice, horseradish, and garlic are also added to give your BBQ an even richer taste. Alabama white sauce is also used as a salad dressing and even meat marinade.

Georgiaah Mustard

This unique sauce is made with a blend of mustard seeds, vinegar, and spices, and it has a tangy, slightly sweet flavor that’s perfect for combining with pork, turkey, and chicken. I tried this sauce with Mission BBQ’s sausage and it was one of the best things I’ve ever eaten!

Baja Bold

As the name suggests, this sauce is not for you if you do not like it spicy! Made with cumin, chili powder, chipotle, and habanero peppers, this condiment has a zesty kick that will liven up any meal.

Nashville Hot Sauce

Nashville Hot Sauce is a unique blend of cayenne pepper, vinegar, and spices, including cayenne peppers. The spicy sauce has a deep red color and a bold, flavorful taste that is perfect for grilled pork, chicken, and wings, but also French fries or tacos.

South Carolina Zing

This condiment is made of mustard, honey, and spices, so it is super sweet, zesty, and has a slight hint of heat. I recommend pairing this sauce with turkey or chicken.
